How do I transfer my investments out of CI Direct Investing?

You can initiate a request to transfer your investments out of CI Direct Investing through the receiving institution, either in cash or in kind. Simply provide them with a copy of your latest account statement and have the request be addressed and sent to the custodian listed. We will not be able to process transfer out requests that are addressed to CI Direct Investing directly.

Aton eligible transfers may take up to 10 business days after the request was received at the custodian. For manual transfers that are not ATON eligible, transfers may take up to 6 weeks to be processed. CI Direct Investing does not charge any fees to transfer out your accounts. 

Private Investment Portfolios can only be transferred out in cash.
